Bughunt are a four piece independent rock band playing all original music. Our mission? To get you dancing without forsaking lyrical content, aiming to first engage your hips … and then your mind, delivering mature, engaging stories wrapped up in many musical flavours.
Before kicking off Bughunt in 2010, Sandy McNab played bass and guitar for bands Souls Ajah and has been an active member of the Perth music scene since the late 1980s. Sandy is the main songwriter and only original member. Sandy also performs solo as Super Profundo and, when he feels like getting his fluro on, is the better half of 80s cover act Desperately Seeking Molly with Tanya.
Local bass legend Rob Bailey joined the band in 2016. Rob has played in bands most of his life, recording and performing everywhere, from small venues through to large concerts supporting well known internationals. He has worked with many notable collaborators and enjoyed a brush with notoriety as an early member of ACDC.
Paul Hitchins started playing the drums aged 14 and never looked back. During a career spanning more than 45 years Paul has played with many great artists including Ross Wilson, Lucky Oceans and Phil Manning as well as legendary Oz rock band the Sports, with whom he played, toured and recorded for 8 years, enjoying Top 10 success in Australia. Paul joined Bughunt in 2018.
